We advocate and influence policy on climate change and take action to address adaptation/mitigation activities to reduce vulnerabilities to climate impacts
Currently, relations and agreements exist between VCAN and the Department of Climate Change, in particular through the National Advisory Board. It will be useful to review the existing relations, MOUs, and other arrangements to ensure a smooth process, especially with regard to the Green Climate Funding process and requirements.
In the past, VCAN has been supported by Oxfam in Vanuatu, and ongoing support through 2022 will be provided through the Oxfam in the Pacific PACCCIL project. It will be important to review existing agreements and amend these, as necessary, to reflect VCAN’s new status, ensure a smooth transition, and maintain optimal relations.
